Fleur Oakes – Exquisite Needlework

Lisa Takahashi – Linocut PrintsFollowing Lisa’s successes at both the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (where she sold her entire edition before the exhibition opened to the public!) and the Artsdepot Open (showing until 8th September), Lisa is delighted to be showing new lino-cut prints exclusively at the Open Studios. In addition to this T-Shirts and Bags adorned with the design shown will be for sale, as well as a delicious variety of greeting cards. Her tiny studio will be bursting with eye candy!

Verene Lack‘I paint, I draw, I make.

I will draw on anything, paint mostly on gesso with oil, I make things that try to be useful’.

Verene will be showing recent work including her highly intricate modern day icon paintings using gold leaf and oil colour on gessoed panels.

Ruth ParkerRuth is a diverse contemporary designer working on the borders between craft and fine art. She is best known for her beautiful work combining discarded objects with drawings, colour and craftsmanship.  Come and see what she has created for the Abbey Art Centre Open Studios in the Arcade.

Saturday 7th at 4pm in the Abbey Garden – Dog Headed SpiritsTheir sultry voices convey strong intention, their playing is organic, sensual and a sense of danger ripples through their music. The singing- songwriting duo Dog Headed Spirits shall wow you with their mysterious flavour in the garden at 4pm.
